"God Bless America, Land that I love!" To
me it is more than lyrics to a patriotic song. It is how I feel. That God has
truly blessed this GREAT Country of ours...I have been sitting back and
listening to what is going on with the race to the White House. I
normally do not make my political views known but I have to stand up and say my
piece…here goes...Don't shoot me down!
Both parties are guilty of name calling
and all...Hey, that's politics in America! But what is happening
by the liberal left wing attacking not only Sen. McCain's
war record and Gov. Palin's family, but now they have attacked her for being a
Christian is very offensive to me! Come on people!!! This is AMERICA! WE are the greatest country this world has ever seen! GREATER than the Roman Empire! And this GREAT nation was founded by our
Founding Fathers as a "CHRISTIAN" NATION!!!! A majority of our Founding Fathers were Christians and or Preachers. They wanted not only to have a country where they could have freedom to pray but freedom NOT to pray to who the Government told them to! They never meant for the seperation of church and State, but was counting on the State to make sure that we were a Nation based on Judeo-Christian values...
Have we
gone so far down hill that we have to find fault in anyone who proclaims that not only
do they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but also admits that
they talk to God in prayer..? Haven't we always had a negative
opinion about Communism and how they feel about being "Atheist"??? I for one am grateful that we have people of good morals running for the
Presidency and VP positions. We have always taken pride in the fact that we were
a nation that prayed to God for outcomes during war or personal strife...And now
we allow the few on the fringe of lunacy to dictate how we're to think? Shame on us!
I for one am a God-fearing Christian who
prays hard these days for God to place the right person in the highest office we
have...Please get to your private prayer closet and tell God the we as a nation
need HIM not only in our lives, but in control of our Government!
To them I say..."God Bless America! My
HOME SWET HOME!"
